Magellan shows support for breast cancer campaign

Magellan Residential have shown their support by selling two signed Sheffield United shirts in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign.

Having worked closely with Sheffield United club when their Anchor Point development on Bramall Lane was in construction, Magellan arranged for two 07/08 home shirts to be signed by some the players with all proceeds going to charity.

Breast Cancer Campaign was established in 1988 with the aim of researching the cure for breast cancer. The charity aims to be the leading specialist in breast cancer research across the UK and the Republic of Ireland, making a significant impact on breast cancer for the benefit of patients.

Breast Cancer Campaign's mission is to beat breast cancer by funding innovative world-class research to understand how breast cancer develops, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure.

Breast Cancer Campaign is the nominated charity for Magellan's Barley Fields Development in Garforth.  The development will consist of 20 houses and 17 apartments set in the heart of Garforth just off Main Street.

A selection of family homes and apartments being built on the old school site on Barleyhill Road.  Further information can be obtained from Mike Dobson Estate Agents on (0113) 286 4276.

The signed shirts were sold on eBay and using their new facility, eBay for charity, 100% of the sale has been donated to charity and is done through the system. The auction ended on Sunday 29 June and managed to raise a total of £62.00, which is being matched by Magellan.

Alison Walker, Corporate Partnerships Executive at Breast Cancer Campaign said: “The support we receive from regional companies such as Magellan Residential is vital to Campaign as they help to raise awareness across the country and we are therefore delighted to have been chosen as their nominated charity. The money raised will help us to continue funding innovative world-class research into breast cancer. ”
